Personal Mirror

Disc-shaped mirror with pitted surface. Separately attached handle in the form of the deity Bes which is broken from below the chest. In1873 the god was described by curator Charles Gatty as Typhon rather than Bes. Described by Professor Percy Newberry (1910) as being of a “good technique” and dating to Dynasty 18 or later.
