Personal Object; Fan

A Cantonese ivory fan, with intricate lace-like carvings on the spokes, of figures in a landscape, the two end spokes being more deeply carved, pinned to the spokes is is a square silver loop. Attached to the spokes are white feathers, which are tipped with the 'eye' of the peacock feather. The white feathers have been painted with blossoms surrounding a group of figures in metallic silver and gold paints with dark blue outlines.
