Personal Ornament; Brooch

A medieval copper alloy quatrefoil brooch. The pin is missing; the surface plain. The brooch dates to the 13th/14th century. Two thirds of the medieval brooches which survive from Meols are of copper alloy. Found on the shore at Meols. Meols catalogue number 1735, (Griffiths, D; Philpott, R; Egan, G, 2007).
