A copper alloy annular brooch. The circular sectioned frame is decorated with four groups of 7-9 transverse grooves. The pin is lozenge shaped in cross-section and is decorated with a line of zig-zags on each side of the upper face. The brooch is likely to date to the 13th century or earlier. Found on the shore at Meols. Meols catalogue number 1705, (Griffiths, D; Philpott, R; Egan, G, 2007).
