Personal Ornament; Brooch; Dragonesque

A copper alloy dragonesque S-shaped brooch. The body, head and foot of the brooch is decorated with annulets, which also mark eye and nostril. The body of the object is D-shaped in cross section. The pin and catch plate are missing. Found on the shore at Meols. Meols catalogue number 109, (Griffiths, D; Philpott, R; Egan, G, 2007).
