A European man wearing khaki, braces, and a flat cap, holda a young West African girl in his arms. They are standing outside in front of a large thatched-roof bungalow. A small bathtub can be seen on the ground to right anbd a towel is draped over the verandah railing. From the collection of William John Roberts, Liverpool-born merchant for The Lagos Stores, Ltd.
