After demolition of cold storage slated roof structure addition to the west end of Block D on fourth floor, from when it was adapted as a cold store 1899, a new roof was needed which took the form of a steel portal frame. Underside of portal frame roof in location of former cold storage structure, roof in place. Note damaged brickwork around windows cut out ready for repair with new bricks.
