"Ship 'Velore' [sic], Capt. John Yeo. Mate E. Maycock. 2nd mate Mr Hanks. Owner = Messrs Eyre Evans & Co., Liverpool. Registered tonnage 1631. Joined at Havre June 10th 1890. Sailed from Cardiff with cargo coal for Montevideo on July 2nd 1890. After discharging went round Cape Horn in ballast to Valparaiso, remained a week there & then sailed for Iquique (Chile) & loaded a cargo of nitrate - proceeded 'to Falmouth for orders' which proved to be fore London - arrived there May 13th 1891.
