Powdered blue pigment (frit) manufactured by Flaxman Spurrell in replication of ancient Egyptian frit gathered from Tell el Amarna. Sealed within two circular concave pieces of glass (watch glass) with a paper label annotated, “Frit, silica coloured by copper. Prepared by F. C. J. Spurrell in imitation of ancient frit. Archaeological Journal 1895”.
