Sample of pigment collected by W. M. Flinders Petrie at Hawara, 1889. Sealed within a flat glass tube with a paper label annotated, "Hawara [Roman] yellow ochre roasted". Previously mounted on a wooden display board labelled, "ROASTED YELLOW OCHRE (Roman). Hawara, Egypt".
