Pin cushion

A pin cushion made from two shaped blue jasper pieces with a red velvet area in between to hold pins. The blue jasper is decorated with white jasper sprigging depicting designs adapted from Lady Elizabeth Templetown's (1747-1823) drawings. One of the designs shows a young girl spinning using a drop spindle, a design very suitable for use on a pin cushion.
