Interwoven threads of textile or plant fibre (like basket work). Has been interprested as being used to cover the mouth of a jar before mud/clay was applied on top to seal the vessel. One fragment marked GN 323. Garstang's label: "Fragment of primitive matting". Three fragments of lengths: 96 mm; 46 mm; 45 mm.
