Information

Fragment of amozonite stone inscribed on both sides with hieroglyphs for Ta-mes. Bright blue/green in colour with text incised and hilighted in white pigment. Possibly fragment of a plaque or scroll amulet. Described in the 1870's by the curator Charles Gatty as a "portion of an amazonite stone amulet, inscribed on both sides with a religious formula for "Ta mes", priest of Ptah, and superintendant of workmen, son of Thothmes. 18th Dynasty (Birch)."
