Information

A large but shallow plate with two handles attached to each of its sides. The decoration is of Bichrome II or according to Catling, Bichrome I type of black brown and plum red paint. Externally there is black paint on the rim, a succession of bands in the lower body foru fine black, brown red and four fine black as well as paint on the ring foot. The underfoot has four small outlined latticed triangles their tops touching the outer most of five fine black, broad red and five fine black arould a large central hole. |nside there is black paint on the rim, a succession of banding on the floor broad around six and fine and single medium all black enclosing a large red circle.. The clay is grittly and thick, evenly fired medium hard with a plain surface finish. The plate has been repaired and restored but there is still a large area missing.
