Information
Herbert MacNair was one of the Glasgow Four, friends with Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret and Frances Macdonald, the latter of whom he married in 1899. MacNair moved to Liverpool in 1898 and taught at the School of Architecture and Applied Art.
Enid Jackson (1874 - 1914) grew up in Birkenhead near Liverpool, but spent much time in St Ives (from 1905) and in the St Ives artist colony. She exhibited at the Goupil Gallery in London, in the London Salon and also at the NEA on three occasions.
