Large concave tube-shaped stand to support a jar. sharply carinated base. Faint trace of an excavation mark in pencil. Assumed to be from Sir Francis Danson's subscriptions to Garstang's excavations at Abydos, 1907-1909. CONDITION NOTE 1998: White residue, chipped, pitted, surface dirt.
