A wooden Ptah-Sokar-Osiris figure. Long wig coloured in stripes of blue and yellow. Face is red, well carved with head painted black. Eyes black and white. Pectoral consists of bands of rectangles with row of lotus flowers and bands below: on chest is the top of a column ornament in yellow, black lined, and beneath is a winged scarab bettle with sun-disc. The body is coloured red and covered with bead network of blue and white. The pedestal is inscribed in hieroglyphs. Plume head-dress is lost and the figure is split with the colours faded. Hand copy of the inscription on the Newberry-Peet catalogue card. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Two very large open cracks up figure, black residue on base, surface loss, surface dirt, discoloured, remnants of paper on surface.
