Ptychadena anchietae (Bocage, 1867)

Colour varies from grey to blackish to brick red, with or without dark spots or freckles on the back, snout has a weakly pigmented triangular patch on upper surface. Underside white sometimes suffused with yellow posteriorly. Length of males to 51 mm, females to 62 mm.
