Religious Figure / Amitayus
Gilt bronze Sino-Tibetan statue of Amitayus or Tsepame seated on a double lotus pedestal, in yogic or meditational pose. Both hands resting in lap, holding a elaborate vase or bowl decorated with pearl-like decoration. He wears a large five-jewelled crown of the Bodhisattva, the jewels are missing, but his Bodhisattva ornamanets still contain pearls, coral and small green stones. His hair flows over his shoulders, with it bound in gold thread to create two plaits and is piled on top of his head and finished with a gilt finial.
