Bronze statue of Amitayus seated on a double lotus pedestal, in yogic or meditational pose. Both hands resting in lap, vase missing. He wears the jewellery (most stones have been removed) and elaborate five-jewelled crown of the Bodhisattva. He is finely detailed, clothing particularly, sash details to sides of knees appears stylized and rigid, characteristic floating fabric around arms, suggests Chinese influence. Based is sealed and covered in red pigment, a circular seal is inprinted into pigment at centre, possibly treasury or owner's seal.
