Religious Figure; Buddha

Bronze statue of Historical Buddha probably Sino-Tibetan or from Eastern Tibet. Buddha shown seated in yogic, meditational pose with left hand, palm down, shown reaching for earth in earth-witnessing or bhumisparsa mudra. Right hand is resting on lap empty. Buddha's robe highlighted with border decoration and pleating inbetween legs. Hair has been left with out gilt. Gilded all over, but with extensive wear. Buddha sits on a double lotus pedestal or throne. Base still has cover decorated with double dorje and contents are still in place.
