Religious Figure / Green Tara

Bell metal gilt statue of Green Tara seated in the royal pose of ease with foot touching a lotus. Her right hand rests on her tigh and is open in the mudra of generosity, holding a vase of immortality. Behind her left shoulder is a fully opened lotus and her hand is raised to her heart and holds a lotus stem between her fingers. She wears the crown and ornaments of the Bodhisattva. Her hair still retains a large amount of blue pigment and flows over her shoulders in plaits. She sits on a double lotus pedestal. The base is closed and still has its contents. It is sealed with a circulared printed piece of paper that has the double dorje.
