Religious Figure / Vajrapani

Lacquered copper statue of a form of Vajrapani or Chana Dorje. Vajrapani is shown here with his characteristic wrathful expression, flaming hair, third eye and skull headdress. Two hands are in the vajrahumkara mudra (triumph over the triple universe) and his two other hands are outstretched holding a vajra and a snake lasso. His role is to eliminate all obstacles on the path to enlightenment.
