Report - Under-achievement in School among Black and Ethnic Minority pupils.

This booklet brings together papers given at a conference in April 1980. The conference was sponsored by the Afro/Asian/Caribbean Standing Committee (Merseyside) and the National Association for Multiracial Education (Liverpool). It was prompted by a 60% unemployment figure among Black people in Liverpool and ‘the blight of hopelessness’ for school pupils of Black and ethnic minority backgrounds. It aimed to begin the search for reasons and remedies.
