Rex

Usher studied at the Slade School of Art under Professor Brown. She exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Liverpool Autumn Exhibition from 1910. In a letter to the Walker, Usher described the sitter Rex as 'a charming little American boy and one of the best models I remember having. That work, thanks to the way he sat, was completed in three sittings.'
