Sailing Proud: Gay Life at Sea

The material in the Gay Life at Sea collection was collected through the Sailing Proud project, research for the Hello Sailor exhibition and other sources. The documents are mainly photographs donated by the subjects of oral history interviews and a few mind maps of ports produced by gay ex-seafarers. The Sailing Proud oral history interviews are stored and catalogued as part of the Maritime Archives & Library Sound Archive.
