Sawtry, Huntingdonshire

Heathcote was a patron and pupil of the English landscape painter Peter De Wint (1784 - 1849), whose work his imitates. An identical drawing by Heathcote was given to the British Museum by the artists' descendants. The British Museum also owns another view of Sawtry by Heathcote, dated 1856.
