Egyptian faience  scarab shaped seal. Glaze has now gone. Found by John Garstang at Hierakonpolis (site no. 425), probably from the New Kingdom temple rebuilding by Thutmose III. There is an accompanying red wax impression made by Professor Percy Newberry.
