Scarab

Green glazed steatite scarab shaped seal engraved with the name Khakheperra within a cartouche, the throne name of King Senusret II, 4th ruler of the 12th Dynasty. The cartouche is surrounded by a spiral scrolls motif. Chipped at the front and very much broken at the bottom, right across the base of the cartouche. Originally pierced through the length for suspension.
