Scarab

Steatite scarab seal with details of the head and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with the name of Amun-Ra. Pierced through the length for suspension. Good preservation. The catalogue card says "Ex. Hilton Price collection. Given Miss F. Lawrence I.O.M." and "type lasts into early 18th Dynasty". Ex Frederick George Hilton Price collection, sold at Sotheby's, London, 12-17 July 1911.
