Scarab

Green glazed faience scarab seal with details of the head, wings and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with a line with lines thtough it (?water sign), a neb sign and an swirl. Pierced through the length for suspension. Slightly chipped on the base, side and head. So far the scarab cannot be traced in the museum's documentation but a past curator suggested, "thought to be from Esna" on the object label. Quite similar to a sketch of a scarab from 223 E'06 and one from 245E'06.
