Steatite scarab seal with traces of pale orange wash/pigment, decorated on one side with details of the wings, head and legs. The other side is inscribed with the cartouche of Thutmose III on the top flanked by two raised cobras, and below beneath a separating line, a scarab flanked by two feathers. It is pierced through the length for suspension but the hole is obstructed with dirt. Could be a forgery.

This object was found without a label in storage. The numbers marked in black on the object suggest it is an object that belonged to the Henry Rider Haggard collection (31.93.?) and was purchased from Norwich Castle Museum in 1956 (Liverpool Museum accession 56.20.?).
