Pale green glazed faience scarab shaped seal with details of the head and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with a winged cobra flanked by two nefer signs and a 'nb' or water sign at the bottom. Pierced through the length for suspension. Remains of green glaze only on the base. Previously in the collection of Mr Frank Stevens, and described by his as coming from Cyprus. He had shown the scarab to Professor Archibald Sayce (1845 – 1933) who dated it to 1500 BC.
