Scarab (Forgery)

Green glazed steatite scarab seal with details of the head, wings and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with the name of 18th Dynasty pharaoh Thutmose III (Menkheperra) flanked by two uraei and symetrical design on top. Poor execution of the inscription suggests this is a forgery. Pierced through the length for suspension. Slightly chipped in place but otherwise good preservation.
