Scarab (Forgery)

Steatite scarab seal crudely decorated on one side with details of the wings, head and legs. The flat side is inscribed with the cartouche of Amenhotep III (nb-mAat-ra) flanked by two feathers. Does not appear to be pierced. The object is very dirty (perhaps deliberately so), worn and crudely designed. Stuck to the top side is a Norwich Castle Museum label.
