Scaraboid

Scaraboid with a back in the form of the Eye of Horus (wedjat). The base is inscribed in hieroglyphs, 'Nebmaatra [Amenhotep III] beloved of Hathor, Mistress of Heliopolis'. Very fine technique and perfect preservation. Mounted on modern ring hoop.
