Large finial constructed of many pieces of gold sheet and wire in the form of a large pomegranate atop a flared stalk covered in clinging petals or leaves (each outlined in wire on outer surface); the stalk emerges from a deep rectangular base with rounded corners, on each of which sits a constructed lion couchant, attached to the stalk by a collar and leash of twisted wire (one leash missing). The edges of the base are covered by bands of beading and wire; on its sides is a Dionysiac scene with human figures in repoussé. The pomegranate has stamens constructed of wire and granulation, and its surface is covered in granulation separated by filigree outlines of buds and flowers
