Sculpture (Forgery)

Forgery of a head of a male carved from dark stone, mounted on a wooden plinth. On the plinth is an annotation in pencil "218/6" (a reference to an auction catalogue); and a rectangular sticker with serrated edge and printed number "205". Dimensions include the plinth. Sold at Sotheby's 1906, 19-21 Dec Lot 218/6: Six heads from stone figures; of various size (page15).
