Sculpture Fragment

Bronze cloisonne piece with inlay of coloured pigment (?) in some cells. Two fragments. Probably from the headdress of a statue. Ink writing on label says "Found at Fayoum in 1885" CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, in two pieces, inlay fragmenting, surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 172778. Purchased at Stevens', London 16-17 September 1930 Lot 454.
