The Bell family supplied three generations of Chief Engineers serving with Cunard Line. The collection includes certificates of competency for James Bell, Robert T Bell and James A Bell. The majority of the collection is made up of photographs of the career of James A Bell, but includes references of Robert T Bell dating from the 1870s.
