Career papers of Jack Hanson b. 3 February 1914 Bootle Merseyside: certificate of discharge books (number R163617) up to 1970s, deck hand certificate, diary and scrapbook of time as POW (Prisoner of War) at Milag Nord camp Germany, (captured from ship Rangitane Nov 1940, assistant steward), theatre presentation from camp 1914-1940. POW scrapbook contains Christmas drawing. Photographs appear to have been removed from the scrapbook at some point before donation. Capture on Rangitane, New Zealand Shipping Company, is recorded in discharge book.
