Information

William Frank Jefferies, AB, was discharged from the Lancashire Navy League in 1922 after which he served on various merchant vessels until joining the Royal Navy Reserve at the outbreak of World War II. He was serving aboard Laurentic when it was sunk by enemy action. The collection also contains items relating to other ex Navy League pupils, A J Bellis who lost his life on Laurentic in 1935 and Michael Reily who was awarded a certificate by the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society in 1933.
