The Sentry

Jagger was best known for his War memorials. They were honest, graphic, depictions of the harsh reality of the war, no doubt based upon his own experiences in the trenches. The Sentry is a smaller version of The Sentry executed for the Watts Warehouse in Manchester in 1921 that is now in the Britannia Hotel, Manchester.
