Shabti

Limestone shabti coated with a black resin like substance. Face and hands painted red with some trace of yellow on a broad collar of beads. Small baskets carved on the back, carried across both shoulders, and in the centre a yoke supporting two pots. Broken below the crossed hands. Similar but larger than shabti another shabti in the collection, accession number 1973.4.74. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, surface loss, some flaking of surface, discoloured, surface dirt.
