Shabti Box of Tetuta

Shabti box inscribed with a dedication to Osiris by Tetuta, a door keeper of the temple of Amun-Ra. Dome shaped lid. Recorded by Charles Gatty "222. Sepulchral box, in sycamore wood, painted; with a dedication to Osiris for Tetuta, a door-keeper of the temple of Amen-Ra. H. 12 7/8 in.” (1879, p. 43). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Old infestation, mould on interior?, some previous repair, cracked, surface dirt, some surface loss, label adhered, split in base.
