Shabti of Ankh–es–(en)–iset

Mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig with a seshed headband tied at the back added in black. The arms are crossed above the waist, and the hands hold a pair of hoes that are added in black. A plain rectangular basket with shoulder straps is painted on the back of the shabti. The face is poorly defined. Eyes are indicated by black dots but they are widely spaced on the sides of the head. A vertical column of inscription names the owner as Ankh–es–(en)–Iset. Transliteration and translation of the inscription: Wsir anx.s-(n)-As.t mAa.t-xrw, "The Osiris, Ankh–es–(en)–Iset, justified". Gatty Slip (1873): Green sepulchral figure in porcelain of 'Ankhsahesi".
