Shabti of Ay

Wooden mummiform shabti with a white body, from the late New Kingdom (19th-20th dynasty). The face and arms are painted red, the bracelets and details are in black. A broad collar of beads is is painted in red and yellow. The figure carries two hoes and on the back is a triangular, stylised basket in red and yellow. The text is in a single vertical column, black hieroglyphs on a yellow background within borders, inscribed for "The Osiris Ay".
