Shabti of Iewfy

Currently not on display

Mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig. The arms are crossed on the chest, and the hands hold a pair of hoes added in black. The hands and face are painted red. The eyes and brows are added in black. A small trapezoidal basket is painted behind the right shoulder. The shabti has a smudged diamond–hatched patterning. A vertical column of inscription on the front names the owner as Iwef(y). The owner’s full name of Iwefy is confirmed on parallels in Bolton (1902.49.1) and Manchester (MM 1275a).
