Shabti of Iset-em-khebit
56.20.522
Information
Mummiform shabti made of light green faience, wearing a plain tripartite wig with a seshed headband tied at the back added in black. The arms are crossed left over right above the waist, and the hands hold a pair of hoes that are modelled in relief and painted black. A diamond–hatched rectangular basket, suspended from two carrying straps, is painted in black on the back of the shabti. The face of the shabti is simply defined. The inscription on this shabti has worn away completely.
The shabti was collected by Sir Rider Haggard and we have no record of the excavation site. There are parallel shabtis for Iset–em–Khebit are to be found in the Egypt Centre, Swansea University (EC W2010c, 2011c, 2012c, 2013c, 2014c & 2015c).
