Information

Worker shabti, mummiform in shape wearing a plain tripartite wig with a seshed headband added in black tied at the back. The arms are crossed right over left above the waist, and the hands hold a pair of hoes added in black. Faint traces of black paint suggest the hands were outlined. On the back is a painted basket that is not modelled in relief like other examples for this owner. A faint vertical column of a very crudely written hieroglyphs on the front read ‘The Osiris, Mut’ [Wsir Mw.t]. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Pitted, surface loss, surface dirt, worn.
